Peer pressure
The definition of peer pressure according to a dictionary states that peer pressure is:
The social influence a peer group exerts on its individual members, as each
member attempts to conform to the expectations of the group.
There are two types of peer pressure positive and negative: positive peer pressure is when people (normally friends) pressure you to do good activities such as: try out for the school play, SRC, being a school leader and negative peer pressures is when they influence you to partake in negative activities such as smoking or drinking or doing something that you are not comfortable to do. It is important to not get pressured into doing things that you don't feel are right to do or that you are not comfortable with doing.
You may not realise but your friends actions influence many choices that you
make, these choices can be positive and negative. Generally this is called peer
pressure when your peers pressure you into doing things that are out of your
comfort zone.
